Remember the first time you had to present a book report to your classmates? Maybe you didn’t, but chances are your stuttered and mumbled your way to a spectacular failure. People eventually outgrow that awkwardness that shows up when they’re in front of crowds, but when you’re pitching your startup to VCs, it might hit you again.
The people at TED had David S. Rose, the famed entrepreneur and angel investor based out of New York, to give a presentation on how to pitch your startup to Venture Capitalists. You’ll have a hard time getting someone better than Mr. Rose to give you advice on this kind of thing. He’s founded or financed more than 70 technology startups, so I bet he’s seen a fair share of pitches, both good and bad.

While you might have a great idea for a startup, if you don’t pitch it to the right people in the right way, it might remain just that, an idea. A good pitch will allow you to get your startup’s funding, giving your room for growth and the opportunity to see your brainchild blossom into a top internet startup.
