About Us

Why did we come up with this Killer Blog?

Several reasons. The first one of them was that although KillerStartups.com covers all the startups that go live every day, and has been named “King of all things startups”, we thought that there was more to it than reviewing the startups. We saw that there was a story behind every startup, and that those stories are worth telling.

The other big guys out there (TechCrunch, Mashable, GigaOm, Silicon Alley Insider, and ReadWriteWeb, just to name a few of which you read daily or have in your RSS feed), that did once write about startups, new ideas and original stuff, don’t focus anymore on that particular audience. You read the same stuff on every one of them nowadays, and it isn’t the “startups” stuff that we enjoyed reading. Now, we only read about the Big Guys on those blogs: Google launching Chrome, Microsoft’s plans for the next year, the Yahoo acquisition efforts by so and so…and the list goes on.

We’re also a startup. We find ourselves facing all the daily challenges a startup brings, and we enjoy each success we achieve every now and then. We love reading about the experiences of other startups (usually on each company’s blog), and we thought it would be great to have it all in one place.

So we came up with a completely new game. We will only write about what people involved with startups want to read about. We will tell you the story behind the startups, the dreams and the visions of their founders and CEOs. We will interview them. We will give you tips and tricks for you to apply on your startup. We will have some fun polls, celebrity guest posts, fun and interesting videos, and who knows, we might even have our own little competition in the future…

We did not invent blogging about startups. As we said before, many have already done it and lots of others will in the future. We just want to do it in our very own way. One which all of you, our readers, will have fun checking out.

So let’s go back to basics. To the story behind the startups… Let’s have fun again!

    Dear Sirs,

Hope all is well. I wanted to update you about Commuto, a start-up you covered a few months ago just as had, well, started-up. We have recently launched our Facebook application for which I would like to send you the press release. We are also one of the top 9 remaining start-ups in the Mashable showdown and I thought it might be of interest to your audience to find out about this Facebook app as well. If you are interested, please let me know where I can send the press release.

Thanks and keep up the great coverage,

Kidswirl.com is the first ULTRA SAFE social networking site for KIDS! The site has been built from the ground up using a familiar layout (similar to Facebook) which makes it easy for parents to help their kids move about the site. The number one priority of the site is KID SAFETY! As a result, we have blocked all bad language, inappropriate and suggestive phrases, and any other word usage that is requested by the parents and users. We are also preparing to launch a PARENT CONTROL PANEL that will give parents 100% control over what their child can see, do, participate in, and even who they can accept as their friends! This is the first site of its kind where parents can finally feel safe and allow their kids to interact with other kids online.

I just discovered KillerBlog.com and cannot stop reading it. As the Co-Founder to a startup, your site offers endless amounts of information. The interviews, opinions, and tips from others who have taken the walk down "startup road", provide us as well as other startups, endless amounts of priceless information I'd love to talk more with the guys who created and run this blog. I listed my information below along with the startup website that I am currently involved with. Thank again for "getting back to the basics".
