Strands Gives You Startup Cash

The economy is doing everything but grow. This is not good news for  startups, as people are not as willing to invest on a good idea as they usually are. Getting all the funding you can should be on top of your list of priorities, and Strands has something that might interest you:

In a cool and innovative competition, Strands will be kicking off “Strands Call for Recommender Start-ups” to identify the best early-stage project in the area of recommendation technologies in March. The winner will receive an investment of $100,000 (in the form of a convertible loan) from Strands. You can find more information about the competition at http://www.mystrands.com/corp/strands-awards.vm.

For Strands, this is a way to find innovative new technologies in its field and help give those technologies a chance to flourish. In addition, as an expert in the field, Strands believes it can identify promising recommendation technologies long before they would ever appear on the radar of venture capitalists.

Visit the site and get all the information. Even if you don’t win the funding, you’ll still put yourself in the radar.
