Walking Down Joseph Street, Part II

In the second part of our interview (catch the first one here) with Joseph Gonzalez of JosephSt.com, we delve deeper into some of the things that motivate him and what the plans he has for the future are. If everything pans out the way it’s planned, expect to hear more from this very motivated entrepreneur in years to come.

Where is your company located?

Valparaiso, IN

Does your team work at the office with you or do they work from home?

We’re bootstrapped so, for now, we operate from home.

How many visitors do you have on a daily basis?

We’ve only been launched for a few days but checking my stats, I’ve estimated about 15,000/day

Tell us briefly about some of your strategies and expectations for the near future.

We’re on a mission to make this the number one web directory for people that are not really internet or computer savvy.  We’re going to be getting the word out via advertising which we will take advantage of internet, radio as well as television ads and special events such as concerts and speaking engagements.

We expect to host over a million new and established websites by this time next year.

Do you have any other parallel projects?

A social network called JSspot that works with JosephSt.com (Jsspot.com)

Do you have any other upcoming projects?

No upcoming projects at this time.

Based on your own experience, what can you tell us about internet jobs and working online that people may not know about?

Many people that working online is fun and easy.  While it certainly is fun, it is by no means easy.  You need to start by designing your website in theory (storyboards work great) and then have it actually brought to life… Then, after several months of tireless work, you need to get the word out there so people can experience the fruits of your labor.

What tips can you give new internet entrepreneurs who are thinking of starting their first venture?

At no time during development or marketing are you to give up.  If you truly believe in your project and give it all that you’ve got, you will reap the rewards.

What strategies have worked for you in terms of getting your business up and running?

Sticktuitivness.   Just not giving up.  NO matter how hard things seem, just keep going and realize your dream.

Have you been influenced or inspired by anyone?

My mother as I’ve mentioned but also highly successful entrepreneurs such as Zuckerburg, Tom Anderson, Larry Page, Sergey Brin.. The list goes on and on of people that have gone from absolutely nothing to some of the most powerful business ever.  Oh!  Let’s not forget Steve Jobs!
